I want to blog about something different today because of yesterday short trip to JB. I went together with my family and relatives. The intention of going there is becos another uncle invited us for a meal together. And since its still CNY, and the fact that i have not seen this uncle for ages, maybe about 10 years for my sis.. we decided to go in.

The lunch we had was not any ordinary family meal. We went to this restaurant and this uncle of mine, we call him 九叔, my father's youngest brother. My father comes from a very big family and as you can see, he is my ninth uncle.. and my dad is the seventh son. This is because my patermal ah gong got 2 wives and so, the number of children can really form a football team. Anyway, my uncle reserved 2 tables in this restaurant and we had a very sumptuous and very expensive dishes. if u know what is 一品锅, ya we had that. Its a very big claypolt with al the expensive seafood, meat, vegestables..and also many other dishes too.. anw, we had it also bcos he invited his company important clients for a new year treat too.

We finally get to see his 4 sons! very cute and smart. I remembered seeing the eldest one about 10 years back, when he is one. and now he has grown so big in size, takes after his father. As for the other 3, never see before. 九叔 size is already XXXL, so his first three boys falls into the XXL, XL and L group. Its really cute to see them in their very big size, same face and even the same attire! All except the youngest one, age 4, who still have that baby face. Its soo chaotic when the four of them are put together, and when you keep your eyes on one, the rest turn and make louder talks. messy but funny when we look at them.

Because of some matters, my uncle could not come into Singapore and thats the reasons for not seeing him for sooo many years. Seeing him yesterday was great, because all along, he doted on us, and always joke around in the past. I remembered i used to monkey bar- ing on his big arms when i was younger, slimer and lighter. There are times that he might not be the best person with the best character, but afterall, it is not up to us to judge him cos those things that happened does not involved us and to say, he is also our senior..

So after lunch, we went to 九叔's factory, and did something fun there:)

We went for some coffee before heading to 九叔 house. Saw the four boys again, and I actually went up to their room and make some conversations with them. They might be very boyish and mischevious, but they are good with their school work and when we test them mathematics, they think real fast and gave us the correct answers. They actually told me that their mother is going to buy them computer soon because the big boy is going secondary school soon. Come to think of it, they live without computers, PSP, mobile phones, and still enjoy their childhood.. but for Singapore children, majority uses these things everyday.I think its a social problem that is arising especially when all they know is to look into the square thing in front of them everyday. This is what i saw recently during the CNY house visitings. Really different styles of upbringing..

At his house, i saw the photo of my grandparents, those ancenstors photo which are framed up. My grandmother was at her early fourties when she took that photo and its the first time i saw her at younger age. the memory i had about my grandmother is very little bcos she passed away more than a decade ago.. but i always hear from my dad that she is a very great mother, 伟大, 慈祥..she has endured all the hardships to bring up her children and that includes beating from my ah gong too..The feeling of seeing that photo is very weird, and strong.. cannot be explain too.. but my father's respect for grandma, i think has pass on to me too..

Well its been a very long post, but yesterday trip was a great one that bring much thoughts, so must write down before i get lazy to blog;)
