Finally something worth blogging about! My recent Bangkok Trip to Bangkok with Liwen and Liyi! It was awesome thou the weather is freaking hot, causing us to surrender shopping at Chatuchak.

We live like some rich kid there taking taxis over the 4 days and massages (room service somemore!) Also bought quite alot of stuff but after unpacking seems like not alot! The hotel, Grand Diamond Suite is good, comfy, spacious and located at the prime shopping district, just a 5 minutes walk to Platinum Mall. Thanks to Regina's recommendation! the food there is cheap and good, especially Fuji restaurant and S&P (at Pantip Plaza). the 2 girls were so delighted to find A&W there, and also super near to our hotel, had waffles with ice cream and curly fries on the very first day!

Swensen is very very cheap, service is good too! Thai people are really nice and friendly, even if you browse and try without buying, they still put on a smile and say thank you, their service standards are much better than Singapore. Its a pity that they have political issues every now and then, making us kind of worried before going. I know my mom was worried sick. feels abit bad that im enjoying and she's worrying over my safety. Luckily im back safe:)

                     Having a break at Swensen!

I always love watching those travel and living channels, which makes me wanna visit the floating market and railway market in Bangkok. So we joined a half day tour to visit the 2 unique and very authetic markets. The tour was awesome bcos the tour guide was funny, knowledgeable, nice, friendly. We learned quite abit of Bangkok's history, current election fever, the reasons behind the love and respect for their King..

Tour guide named Nat, is about the age of my mom, but speaks good English, drive safely, act as our bodyguard(since she know Thai boxing) and photographer.. she takes really good picture. The pics below was taken by her.

In the MaeKlong market, walking abit further in, to the railway stretch.. Munching down the very yummy coconut cakes and looking around.

      Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Totally enjoyed the tour and we were glad that not all time was spent on shopping, at least went to some special places and learned about the daily lives of Thai. The tour was definately the highlight of our Trip! and I hope to bring my parents there one day, hopefully next year? My dad will love these kind of tour!
The mango there was super nice and according to one of the variety show aired recently, we went to search for Or Tor Kor market, just to but their mangos, FRESH mangos! so we actually brought back 2 cartons of mangos. The immigration officers were amazed and I supposed they are happy to see us appreciating their king of the fruit.
The good four days of shopping, eating and touring ended fast and we are all back to reality.. back to work. But it was definitely a good break from work and an eye-opening experience! Look forward to the next one! and for the time being, shall give my best at work! :):):)
