Haven been updating for quite some time. and during this period, many things happened, both bad and good.
Just came back from the long anticipated holiday in Hong Kong. But before the trip, a series of arguments happened at home and its all because of me.. I had quarrelled with my mom for the first time in 22 years and the situation was quite heated.. I saw the arguments coming because i've been angry and dissappointed with her before and this incident actually sparks off the anger and boomz.. exploded. During the few days, many thoughts rushed through my mind and i was worried that my relationship with my mother is going to be broken.. even till now, i still got the little fear. But for one thing im sure, that things are already straightened out and i dont feel the dissappointment i used to feel. At least they know about what i feel and likewise, i understand my mom's resentment too.. My aunt is the mediator throughout the our incident and if not for her, i wouldnt muster the courage to start talking to her again.. Maybe things are not perfect still.. just hope that all is well again and i still love her. And i realised how hard it is to apologise.. Well.. im glad i had made up with her before my trip..and got her a few gifts on my trip. All in all, Hong Kong was great, very similar to Singapore, MTR was as convenient as our MRT and is really a shopping paradise! But i think they did a better job in having clean toilets! On the first day, on the way to the hotel by cab, we were con by this stupid driver and cost us S$80 cabfare(S$30 more). Still try to act friendly with us! But on a positive note, we were all safe la. Also, went to get poloriod camera too! Its S$50 cheaper than Singapore! I wanted to get one all along and glad that got a good price! After that, we went to The Peak and took the tram to Madame Tussaud Museum, where for me, its nothing fantastic and was quite boring, afterall, its all wax.. Its a waste that on the day we went, couldnt see a good view because of the thick fog.. Second day, we went to Macau and joined a 5 hours tour.. and went to Ventian Macao for dinner which i recommended the roasted meat and pizza.. very delicious! Macau was a place for first time visit and since i've been there last year with my family, i think it has nothing much to see except the casinos. However, went to a few visitors must go destinations this time round too. Third day was all about shopping, cover quite a few shopping malls and went to Fa Yuen and Ladies market.. walked for more than 12 hours and my legs were all sore and aching..But surprisingly, didnt get anything on that day, but just some biscuits and snacks.. Disneyland were awesome! Did some research before the trip and many was complaining that disneyland has nothing much. So to avoid dissapointment, we decde to visit disneyland first then Ocean Park. But we were so fascinated with disneyland, all those characters and were wow-ing all the way! It definitely worth the price, especially when it ends with the fireworks! I think its a must-go destination if you haven been to disneyland. But the weather in HK is super erratic and weather forcast is not accurate! But thanks to the inaccurate forecast, we were able to enjoy our trip. Ocean park was a huge dissapointment. Alot of constructions going on, rides were not that fun.. underwater aqurium stinks and met a bunch of unrefined, rough and no etiquette obasans. Regretted to the max that we went and for the fact that we think its better than disneyland! and ended our trip there early too! On the last day, went for our first dim sum meal and surprisingly, it quite cheap.. and more worth it than our previous breakfasts at cha chang teng. Went to Esprit outlet which i managed to do some last minute shopping. At the end of the trip, everyone was tired and i guess the amount of walking in that 6 days were equivalent to my one month's walking in Singapore. The flight back to Singapore was just as memorable because we had a very comical air steward, who speak broken mandarin and has to do the broadcasting.. Well, thats about all the fun i had and now back to reality..the need to get a full time job:) |
