Went for a car ride with my parents to Resort World just now and its my first time being there. And to be honest, im very impressed with it.
We went around Marina Sands first before heading to RSW and just by driving pass Sands, we saw how spectacular it is. It is really impressive to know that Singapore took 2 or 3 years to come with with such nice concepts, designs and plannings. Marina sands were just like another casino that i've seen in Macau, Lisboa, where from afar, its like cut and paste onto the sky. Nice and very grand. Also, behind all the designs were the fengshui, which I read in newspapers few months back that MS has consulted many feng shui masters on its designs and layouts. "The three towers representing three mountains or warriors that guard the gateway to Singapore and the SkyPark is like a scholar's hat, symbolising new skills being acquired, while the three domes in front symbolise three coins, which stand for prosperity. Its turtle-shell shape is also a common symbol of longevity. The lotus-shaped Art Science Museum is designed like an open palm, a gesture of giving and welcoming, and the calmness associated with it is 'a quiet balance to all the buzz and activity', she said. " I think its quite cool for Singapore to have such developments and although intially many would think that casino in Singapore would have cause social problems where many locals would turn into gambling instead of having proper jobs. But i think the government has already anticipate those problems long before deciding on building it, thats why they came up with the 100 dollars rule for all Singaporeans and many others that were implemented. Actually, was quite worried because my mom have been there few times since it opening in Feb, but for me, i'll not restrict her because she 's taking it as a form of relaxation, as long as she dont go too often.. Ok, anw, RWS was really very nice, cant wait to visit Universal Studio. I feel like im out of Singapore, even for that short while. And tonight's weather very cooling, feels like Genting, but revamped version of cos, lol. I think they did a great job in the designing and planning. |
