Graduation!

Today is the day that everyone long awaits. Finally I have secured a degree education with 2nd upper class Hons. Indeed it marks a new beginning for all of us and everyone is going to take different paths. Having a cert may be a good thing but dunno why i dont feel very much happy or excited yet. I guess i need to get a good job and gain some experiences before i can assure myself that i've chosen the correct path. Thus, there isnt much thoughts and feelings, especially prior to the ceremony held this afternoon.



While going through the ceremony, it made me realised how time flies and two years can just passed in a blink of eyes. And then it makes me think of the people i;ve come across over the 2 years. Being the first batch for the Nanyang Poly and University of Stirling Foreign Specialised Programme, we only have one guy in the whole corhort, which means over the past two years im like attending to a girls' school. Anyway, the point is that i seriously thinks that the girls i;ve met in Stirling were very good individuals, i cant say everyone of them, but the people whom i've worked with, or even had a chance to develop a closer friendship were people that i really enjoyed spending time with. Into the uni life, i think ive grown and somehow enjoyed working with new people, unlike most of my frens who like to stick with their own click, i think its nice to meet new groupmates and make new frens. Thou i still have my reserves when i need to adapt to different people and working styles, i've learned to know that it is a better for me to mix around. One thing is that i dont like to work with my frens too because things become difficult with clash of ideas and opinions.. Its kind of sad that school is coming to an end because i quite like my coursemates and friends. Especially Madeline and Lilin, whom we get to know each other on the first module and then bonded really well. Its seems like its yesterday that we went to Jurong swimming complex for all the water slides and playground, with a steamboat buffet in MS and a tour around Esplanade. Although we seldom get the chance to meet after the outing, but it was great to know both of them, and i believe they are friends that i'll keep close at heart for a long long time. if they ever read this, i bet they would think im too touchy la.. but well.. im gonna miss them.


In those days, i actually joined Lizah for a movie- once, go along with Lizah, Shila, Candy, Lilin, Siying, Priscillia, Hweekoong and maybe a few other for lunch at Popeye- once also. Joined Siying lilin, priscillia and, madaline for karaoke at TopOne- once. not forgetting after our first module, Retail Operation presentation, Ling Ta, Madaline, Eunice and I went for Ichiban sushi at AMK Hub and after that kbox-once too. I almost went deaf with eunice super loud singing and all of Jolin's songs. Also, a few Pizza Hut dates with Candy, Lizah, lilin and others. they just love pizza hut sooo much. and also, they love to call me Alice, because they are so crazy over Twilight and each of us took a character in our project group then. And i got no idea what is twilight is about cos i think Harry Potter is nicer. LOL. Also my proj groupmates for understanding consumers, where we went for fish spa to take videos and its fun to hang out with the girls, siyan, slyvia, fengyi, weiling and xueli too. Its nice to have them in my uni life although it may be for a very short period of time for some..


Im glad that my parents witnessed my graduation ceremony, even thou we had some disputes months back.. although i dont think that i've attain great achievements over the graduation, i wonder what are their thoughts about their daughter graduating. Maybe Dad will just ask me to pay him the school fees that he's been paying for me. LOL. anw i'll ask them soon hahaa. I should have bought another ticket for my sis.. thou its freaking expensive, but i somehow regretted bcos maybe it'll be nice to have her around.


Mom is funny because she is always figuring with the camera and cos she cant see clearly with her 'lao hua' and Dad is so comical too.. I told him about Prof Clyde whom is an angmo but he speak very good mandarin and when Prof came to him and dad purposely greeted him with 你好 and Prof keep congratulating us and says 恭喜 恭喜 and even compliment me, telling my parents 你的女儿很用功. haaha. Prof Clyde is nice actually, but he can be scary too. I remembered when i went to him for thesis consultation and he is very serious and maybe not in very good mood, and i stammered when talking to him, even my heart skipped faster.



And there's this tutor, whom came up to me before and after the ceremony for a talk but im so embarassed because i cant remember her name! I know that she had tutored me last year and i remembered clearly i did quite badly for the individual report for her module and have to chiong so hard in exams to pull up the overall marks.. but just cant recalled her name! A very nice lady thou. and i didnt take photo with my favourite professor also my thesis supervisor, Prof Paul.. haiz. how sad.



"Engraved these moments into your memory", Cecilia my coursemate on her speech in today's ceremony. and i cant remember the exact word or phrasing, but she say something like, ' Do not be afraid of crossing threshold, for the door has already been open for you.'...how nice:)

With a cert now, the next big thing would be to get a job. a good one, hopefully.
